(More customer reviews)This helicopter is a LOT of fun! As you would expect, learning to steer can be a challenge. But I'm convinced this would be true with ANY helicopter.
Overall it is surprisingly durable. The way it lights up is very cool. Besides myself, my brother and a friend each bought this model Here are the drawbacks we experienced:
1) Although 3 channel helicopters are supposed to be ok to fly outside, in reality this is not the case. Even the slightest breeze hinders its' ability to fly into the breeze.
2) The tail prop, not the tail propeller, is most likely the first part to break. And guess what, this is one of the few replacement parts that you cannot buy. However, in reality the tail prop is not a requirement for it to fly. It is purely decoration. It's amazing at how many crashes it can withstand with minimal damage.
3) The remote is very cheaply made. My remote works fine. My friends won't go forward unless he pushes down on the forward/backward stick while pushing it forward. After a very short time by brothers will not fly forward at all.
4) The body is also not very durable. Tried to superglue it back together, but the material is so thin it didn't hold.
5) Too bad that for 1 1/2 hours of charge time you only get about 10 minutes of fly time.
Perhaps this is a nice starter model. I'm planning on searching for a more durable model that is about the same size and that can be flown inside and outside. Replacement parts most also be readily available.
