(More customer reviews)I wasn't too sure about this set because the size is a bit diminutive (it is smaller than mini-figure scale). Surprise, surprise. In spite of the vehicle's stature, this is a very well designed set. It is part of the Creator line, which means that it is made from mostly general-use bricks and comes with directions for multiple builds. The first design is the helicopter transporter; both the helicopter and the cab of the truck make good use of sloped bricks. The second and third designs are a car carrier and a truck with boat trailer. All of the different designs for this set are well done and have good playability. They remind me of the kinds of things I made when I was young, though these look much better. There are some great building techniques and the bricks are varied and useful. The age-range is 7 to 12, but I know a nearly 6 year old who proudly completed all of the designs on his own. I think the set makes a perfect gift; the price is right and if the recipient doesn't like it, s/he can build something else out of the bricks.
