(More customer reviews)This is actually made of metal and is an impressively durable toy, other than the propeller blades. My 4 year old abuses it constantly, flying and "crashing" it all over the house. I've lost two propeller blades as the plastic blades themselves are strong, but the point where they connect to the chopper itself tapers down to a smaller point. Therefore, if your kid is crashing this into the walls, your hardwood floors and even your flat screen TV from time to time (sounds like experience, right?) expect a few blades to fall of, but the rest of the chopper will remain sturdy and in tact. Honestly, for what my kid does with this, it's not even worth gluing the blades back on, nor does it seem to practical. But he loves it regardless.
