(More customer reviews)Well, I got this boat so that I could pester the geese and ducks that hang out in the community pond behind my house. The first thing that I noticed was that the boat is extremely light. There are two small electric motors that control the two props independently and a NICD rechargeable battery pack. Ok, here's the skinny: I'm giving this 3 stars because the boat is kinda fun and it is really cheap, but the batteries only last for a good 10 - 15 minutes and then they have to be charged for 5 hours. The charger that is supplied with the battery pack is not a smart charger, so you have to make sure that the battery is only charged for 5 hours and not more. It would be convenient to get a wall plug timer and set it to cut the power to the charger after 5 hours, otherwise you have to make sure to remember to unplug the battery before the 5 hours are up. Also, as one reviewer mentioned, as the battery drains one motor gets more power than the other motor, so the boat doesn't go in a strait line; however, it is a $40 boat for cripes sake, so it is still fun. Anyway, for $40 you get a boat that is pretty fast for about 10-15 minutes. Hey, it sure does the trick in scaring the geese and ducks, so I'm happy with my purchase.

The boat is powered by 380 type racing motor which produces tremendous power. Professionally designed and manufactured PC twin-propeller which not only provides huge thrust to speeds of 15-20mph, but it's durable as well. Imagine that. 15-20mph and it's not even gas-powered.
