before you get this, make sure you know what a gyrocopter is. hint -- the rotor is SUPPOSED to be unpowered. it spins by moving through the air, and once it's spinning fast enough it acts as a wing. this is called "autorotation"
my single complaint is that this is not "easy to fly" as indicated on the box. it's intermediate-to-advanced, leaning toward advanced. again, it REALLY helps to know what a gyrocopter is -- don't expect this to fly like an airplane OR a helicopter. it's its own thing =)
that said, this is a unique and rewarding flyer that's guaranteed to draw a crowd. it seems flimsy, but i've crashed more than i like to admit, and mine's still in one piece
do NOT just give this to an average kid and expect him/her to have fun with it. because they won't -- that's what the Air Hogs Aero Ace biplanes are for! but it's perfect for a patient, science-minded kid that doesn't mind a little adult help here and there

Gyro Havoc is a hybrid airplane/helicopter that flies outdoors in parks and larger-sized backyards. The un-powered top rotor spins with the wind and adds lift and stability to flights. It also slows down the aircraft for better control in smaller areas. Two powered props (thrusters) are used to control speed, lift and L/R steering. Requires 6 "AA" batteries, not included. Measures approximately 15" x 18" x 16".
