(More customer reviews)This R.H.I.N.O. is actually a movie re-release of a previous toy. Of course there's new movie tie-in packaging, but also the included figure has changed and the colors of the vehicle are now mostly blue-gray with green missiles (as opposed to the black body with yellow missiles of previous version). Beyond that it is an awesome toy, my son was still discovering features on this a year later.
The major feature is the detachable helicoptor that deploys. With the push of a button on the rear of the wheeled-vehicle the helicoptor with rise up and out on a spring-loaded platform. Once up the small wings fold down, but the helicoptor rotor/blade must be manually pulled up and deployed. There are three included missile pods that can be attached to either vehicle. In the 3rd picture provided by Amazon you will see the single-shot pod mounted to where the helicoptor would dock, ie, that pod must be moved in order to seat and recess the helicoptor. Also, since the 'coptor wings fold in to dock you have to remove the missile pods from them too prior to "landing".
Ok, air superiority is cool and all, but what really shines are the features of the ground component. SIX opening hatches, multiple weapon mount hardpoints, lots of room for additional figures, and tons of details molded into the plastic. My son also found a spring-loaded extending platform at the bottom of the side hatches, don't know what they're for but he says they're neat.
Overall a great, chunky, durable toy, with lots of features and options to keep your child entertainted. Don't overlook this one, its surprisingly well designed!
