Lego City Police Station Review

This is by far my son's favorite lego gift ever. It is quite a complete little world, with people, vehicles (including a helicopter), and a really cool police station. My son spent hours carefully assembling it, and played with it as a set for quite some time - at least 4 months.
Then eventually he took the whole thing apart and began making different structures. Yes it can be frustrating to me when pieces from an expensive set migrate into the big "black hole" Lego bin, but from the kids' perspective, it just gives them more creative options. The base for the police station has become half a dozen different buildings/environments, and the pieces - those that I recognize - have shown up in multi-generational space ships, fantastic housecars, and other various creations.
7 months after receiving this gift, my son is still playing with his legos almost every day.
