LEGO City Small Car Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is a pretty handy car to have around, but it doesn't have braking lights or an exhaust tip.I bought this at the wal-mart in marshfield when it was only 4.97. but that was when the easter bunny gave me 5$ and 84 cents and then i found some coins that were worth like 1.17 or something and then i saved enough money to buy a 20.oz bottle of soda like coca-cola or mountain dew or something.Overall, this is an awesome car except for the durability.
See you later people that are crazy lego fans.
Ps.I rebuilt this car into a mail car to hold mail.
Pps.this doesn't quite look like a smart car at all.

Estes Viper RC Airplane with Motion Sensing Control Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)As a very amateur RC plane enthusiast, I have tried (and crashed) several different airplanes from Air Hogs, Estes, and others. This is the only plane that I was completely unable to get into the air before it self-destructed. As another review states, the controller seems to lose touch with the plane. The "motion" controller is not really motion sensitive--it is only "on/off" for direction, which makes it very difficult even for an adult to try to fly, much less give it to a child. The plane always took a nose dive to the left as soon as it got airborne, no matter which direction the control was in. After an hour or so and many crashes later, it finally hit the ground with the wing and broke it off at the motor--completely unrepairable. We have an Air Hogs Jet Scream plane that I finally got comfortable with, and it is MUCH more durable and more fun that this Viper. No matter how many crashes with the Jet Scream, it has virtually no damage because it is so lightweight. Do yourself a favor and do not buy this plane, unless you really want to torture a 10 year-old and his dad.

Little People Airport Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My son got this airport as a gift at 20 months and 6 weeks later, it is still his favorite toy. We have several F-P little people playsets and like to use them with this airport.
Unlike some other reviewers here, we are VERY glad that it did not come with any battery-hungry and annoying lights and sounds to irritate mommy & daddy's nerves. It's getting harder and harder to find toys these days where the only noise comes from the children themselves.
The playset was easy to assemble and comes apart for storage. The only negatives I've seen are that the windsock and umbrella are easily removed (and lost), but all in all, this set gives our son quite a bit of self-play and helps him develop his imagination. Where else but here can you see a Fisher-Price sheep pilot a passenger jet?

Hot Wheels T-REX Rampage Play Set Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My 4-year old got this from his grandparents for Christmas, and likes it just fine. It took awhile to put together, but nothing outrageous, maybe 10-15 minutes, with "help" from our 4 and 6 year old. It didn't require any special tools, and we didn't need to supply any batteries. This toy is definitely much cooler than just knocking down blocks with a plastic dinosaur. It's cute to have the Empire State Building, complete with revolving helicopter, the dinosaur roars, and can hold the car in its mouth, and there is an area of the track that the car fits into, which you can spin wildly out of control with a little lever. That's my personal favorite part. For the money it seems well-made, and something that can be used for some fun creative play.

Chomp up an entire city or save it from the dino destruction. Set includes a chomping T-rex with ferocious sounds and buildings to build and destroy, like an "exploding" gas station and a collapsible bridge. Launch objects at the dino to save the city. Includes one car, the Overbored 454. Colors may vary. Not for use with some Hot Wheels vehicles. Requires three AG13 button-cell batteries (included). Measures 40"L x 15.5"W x 17"H.

Performer 735 Series Mini R/C Helicopter Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)If you want a toy that you can chase the cat with right out of the box then spend $150 on the jump jet. If on the other hand you are willing to spend a few hours (actual flight time) this is a great little toy.
Yes, I saw all the reviews about not being able to trim it out and how it only goes up and down. This is not true. It will trim perfectly, but I will admit that just how to do this is not very clear from the directions.
DO NOT press and hold the trim buttons to trim it out you must repeatedly press the trim buttons (R or L) as if shoting in a video game. Also, follow the instruction for twisting the tail to give it right forward turn after you get the hang of flying level.
Again if you are one of those people who want every thing to work perfectly in the first 5 minutes then go buy a puppy.

Radica Cube World Global Get A Way Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The Radica Cube World Global Get A Way isn't nearly as much fun as I thought it would be. Basically, it isn't worth the money spent. We have all of the Cube World people and this item should have been an excellent add on. Unfortunately, there are only a few getaways, so it becomes boring very quickly. The little guys are way more interesting. Stick with them.

Click Here to see more reviews about: Radica Cube World Global Get A Way

Cube World just got a little bigger. The Global Get A Way cube is four times the size of the small Cube World character cubes, and offers up a slew of new distractions through additional characters, animations, and games. Turn on the blue cube to see Trip, Global Get A Way’s main resident who relaxes on his beach front property until someone comes along to play with him.

You can have fun with Trip alone in many ways. You can watch him perform over 100 unique animations as he frolics outside. You can play the interactive game Jungle Jump in which you need to jump over coconuts rolling out of a tree. Or you can try to unlock up to 21 additional animations by catching bananas that a monkey is throwing at you from the tree. Global Get A Way will even keep track of your high score.

But things get truly interesting when you connect multiple cubes together using the magnetic contacts that are on four sides of each cube. Global Get A Way can be surrounded by eight small cubes, can be connected with other, large Global Get A Way or Block Bash cubes, or a mix and match combination of any of the above. This makes the possibilities virtually endless. Because when Trip gets visitors from other cubes, they all interact with each other--or hop in a helicopter and fly off to a remote destination they’ve never been to before!

Whether they jet-set to the mountains, a sandy beach, a theme park, or some other fun place, it’s guaranteed to be a memorable vacation. When the helicopter brings the characters back home, a party complete with music and dancing may ensue, or the characters may just call it a day and head back to their respective cubes for some shut-eye. After four minutes of no interaction from you, Trip will go into sleep mode, complete with animated snoring after he lies down. After another minute of no movement, the cube will shut off to help conserve battery power. When you’re ready to play again, simply press the "on" button for Trip to appear.

If you have multiple Cube World cubes, you can connect up to 16 in any vertical and/or horizontal configuration to see them all interact together (even if there are more than one of the same character). Since each cube can hold up to four stick figures, this provides hours of unpredictable and thoroughly entertaining fun. The Global Get A Way cube requires three AAA batteries which are not included.

IQ Preschool Wacky Wheels (styles and colors may vary) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought this as a gift, but let my kids try it out first. My girls are 2 & 4. They both really enjoyed it (though I think my 4 year old would have gotten bored with it). It was perfect for the 2 year old, she could move the car easily.
You should note that you only get 1 of the cars (or train or helicopter) in your order. I thought I was getting all 3.

Prime Time Toys Outdoor Fun Zipper Foam Flyer (Color May Vary) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We have had two of these. A two to three year old can use it, but it takes a four year old or higher to put enough spin on it to launch it to the ceiling. But it does work and is fun. The rotor blades (when the handle is pulled) will launch the helicopter off the handle and it will fly upward -- with a minimum auto rotation. It is made of soft foam and will not mar furniture or the walls or ceilings -- a big plus. It will, of course, knock glass ware or such off shelves because it probably weighs 6-10 oz. and the rotor spins (but is soft enough that it is not a threat to small fingers). On both of ours they did not seem to use enough glue to keep it together and after quite a bit of use and lots of crash landings the landing gear and the tail "rotor" (which is fixed) needed to be glued back on with rubber cement. But over all, I would strongly recommend this for kid powered and indoor fun. It is best as an indoor toy, outside its relatively short flight time (less than 10 seconds) makes it a bit underwhelming outside.

Blade CX2 RTF Electric Coaxial Micro Helicopter Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)If you want to "step up" from the R/C "flying saucers" and the very simple "Air Hogs Helicopter", then this is the perfect R/c Helicopter!
The Eflite Blade CX2 will actually go where you want it to (with practice), unlike the above mentioned alternatives.
Everything needed to fly the CX2 is included in the box.
After reading the instructions and charging the included battery, I was flying the CX2 right away.
With the included 2.4 ghz transmitter, you can make the CX2 go forward, backward, sideways in either direction, pirouette, ascend and descend, (oh yeah - AND crash).
What I like about the 2.4 ghz frequency is the little stubby antenna on the transmitter instead of the "3 foot" long antenna found on other R/C transmitters which in needed because of the lower "27 mhz" or "72 mhz" frequencies.
I highly recommend flying in a large room, or a gymnasium to avoid hitting obstacles. Flying outdoors is very challanging and not recommended unless there is absolutely no wind - a slight breeze may carry your cx2 to another land;)
In addition, it is a good idea to buy replacement blades (upper and lower) - because crashing is inevitable. A spare battery is a good accessory too.
Your local hobby shop should have replacement parts.
Eflite is one of the most popular R/C companies, so parts support is very good with most hobby shops. There are also many upgrades you can do on the cx2 such as the "police body canopy", or a "carbon tailboom" mod.
Of course with any flying toy, remember to use caution when flying near people and animals. Be sure to read all safety information in the instruction booklet.
Caution: this hobby is very addictive, and you may soon find yourself looking at more complicated, expensive, and harder to fly r/c helicopters.

The Blade CX2 takes the excitement and beginner-friendly flight stability of the original Blade CX and adds Spectrum 2.4GHz DSM radio control that lets you fly anywhere, anytime without ever having to worry about interference. It?s the first ready-to-fly RC aircraft of any kind to come with this extraordinary technology built in. In addition, the 4-in-1 control unit has been updated with improved gyro and tail control that gives the Blade CX2 even better tail response while minimizing drift. Two feather-light S60 Super Sub-Micro Servos provide powerful, precise cyclic control. Topping it all off is an aggressive new body design that looks fantastic in flight and is unlike anything else out there.

Fisher-Price TRIO Airplane Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Well done, Fisher Price! The Trio building sets are a terrific addition to the building block toy category. We started with the "aircraft" toy set shown on this page (though purchased at a different, brick & mortar store, at an introductory price). Everything about this was attractive -- the sturdy, reusable box, simple instructions, colorful pieces, and even the display (where you and your child can see how satisfyingly the pieces click together and pull apart).
My youngest son is three and a half, and I purchased it for him because he totally groks on Legos and such, but we have mostly the teeny, big-kid size. We have a small selection of the Megablocks, but our son tends to get frustrated because there aren't many of them and they seem to bore him. He loved that this set came with instructions that were easy to follow but looked a lot like his big brothers' Lego sets. With the help of my husband or one of my older sons (ages 7 and 9), Benjy was able to build each of the aircrafts shown in the pictures, and he was so proud and excited!
Before I knew it, Benjy was coming up with his own little constructions -- a train, a sword, a table and chairs -- or using the pieces to pretend he was cooking or mixing cement. There are a nice variety of colors and sizes in this little set, so it lends itself well to learning colors, numbers, sizing and sorting. And of course, this is great fine motor practice.
As I stated earlier, even the box this comes in is practical, because it's made to be reused (and opens and closes like a pizza box, so there's no separate lid to rip). My son can easily pull apart the pieces and put them all back in the box, which is something you can't do well with many Lego sets. (Ask me how many Ziploc bags and plastic boxes we have labeled with the ripped-off picture from a Lego box... and how long that organizational system lasts.)
I highly recommend these sturdy, colorful building sets, and can't wait to see my son's face when we get a larger tub of Trio pieces for the holidays. I'm sure he will continue to love them as much as he loves this little set!

Air Hogs Havoc Stinger - Grey And Blue Ch A Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought this as a Christmas present for my husband. I was concerned at first about its small size and its durability. He loved the size, and, two days later, the chopper has lasted through several falls without a hitch. He has trouble moving it forward while it's in the air, but I suspect that's a question of practice. It's not super-easy to maneuver, but that's part of the fun. It's challenging. The company website is great, and has a good tutorial video for every one of its products. I plan to get him a new model every Christmas.

Barbie Airplane Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I too was amazed at the stellar reviews on this toy. Please do yourself a favor and save your money. This toy could be a real disappointment. No sooner had I put it together for my daughter and she began playing with it, the wings fell off and Ken would not fit properly into the chair, that is when the chair actually stayed together! Not to mention the small parts(ice cubes that come out of an ice maker in the stewardess' area) that get lost easily and have no real purpose. My daughter begged me for this gift last Christmas and I searched and searched, but was not able to buy one until her birthday in February. Apparently, the stores couldn't keep them on the shelves they were such hot sellers. Well, after her birthday was over and the toy proved to be a disappointment, I sent it back with my daughter's blessing. She has never looked back! So if this seems to be a "must have" for your daughter this year, please think twice and perhaps steer her toward something more durable. This toy is not worth the money or the time!

LEGO City Fire Helicopter (7206) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Ok, so there are other parents out there who have Lego-addicted children. It actually might all stem from the fact that they get the Lego magazine FREE for 2 years, thus Lego company is ensuring all parents will at some point be begged for something their child sees in the magazine. Which is exactly what occured here. My son HAD TO HAVE this helicopter, so we searched and found the best price on Amazon (though the Lego site isn't bad either, just pay for shipping). In any event, my son loves this. It's pricey, yes, but it's big and it took a long time to put together. As with all Legos they always need to have more "people", but this one has 2 and that works ok for now. I highly recommend putting it in a container once it's built, which is how we store all our Legos. That way they can be stored on a shelf in an orderly fashion and when they are bored and haven't seen a particular one for a while, just pull out a box, take it apart, and they get to put it together again (in typically a different way).
All in all, a great helicopter.

Transformers Allspark Power Voyager Class Incinerator Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I saw this model on a website prior to its release and was instantly drawn to it. Even though it's not from the movie, and I'm not a big fan of alternative models, I have to say, it's a great addition to the movie toy line.
Pros:
-The transformation was very easy compared to some of the other voyager models. It was also very creative; in plane mode, you can barely make out the robot beneath.
-The arms and legs have a wide range of articulation. The arms can be rotated and bent in almost any direction. Even though Incinerator has the plane tail behind his back like Blackout, the legs are not as stiff and can be posed with relative ease.
Cons:
-Like the previous review, the engines are upside-down/switched. I tried to open them to put them on the correct side, but it is glued down from the front so removing the screws didn't help. Unfortunately, there is no way to correct this without breaking the toy to remove them.
-The spinning blades do not work well. Mostly because there are two of them placed far away from the trigger AND sharing the same mechanism. Blackout's spin is much better. But this does not take away from the attractiveness of the toy.
Overall, I gave this a 5 because the pros heavily outweighs the cons.
